LPA has two vessels available for transporting equipment and supplies to our coastal communities.
The Lionel Plante Sr. is a custom built landing craft capable of hauling moving trucks, heavy equipment, building supplies and your family vehicle from Portland to your island of choice. Additionally, this vessel carries certification for transporting dangerous cargo such as explosives for blasting.
The Ft. Gaines landing craft is capable of carrying 22 cars or up to 5 large dump trucks at a time.
Neither of these landing crafts require a dock to land. All we need is a good approach off the water to get vehicles on and off your job site.
